Hi TrueBlue
Coordinators!
WE HAVE EXCITING NEWS FOR
YOU! You no longer need your gas bill "in hand"
to sign up for Georgia Natural Gas (GNG) and the
TrueBlue Schools (TBS) Program. That's right, with our
website's new AGLC account number look-up tool, signing
up for TrueBlue Schools has never been
easier.
With this said, we encourage your to
start bringing your laptops to all school events and
signing people up for TrueBlue Schools on the spot!
Remember, more TrueBlue sign ups equals more money for
your school!
THREE NEW TRUEBLUE
COORDINATOR
TOOLS!
We have listened to your needs and
therefore, we are very excited to introduce three new
coordinator tools that will make your job easier! We
encourage you to go to www.trueblueschools.com, login using your
TrueBlue Coordinator username and password, and check
out the following new tools today!
- TBS Email Sign-Up
Sheet and Email Reminder Series Tool
This tool literally takes
the work out of sending reminder emails to "prospective"
participants from your school. All you need to do is
download and print out the email sign-up sheet, collect
email addresses from individuals who want to know more
about the TBS Program, and then, enter the email
addresses of your potential participants into our
system. We will take care of the rest! Our system will
send each of your recipients a pre-written email about
the program with customized messaging from you. An
automatic second and third email message will be sent at
5 and 15 days to remind your potential supporters to
sign-up for the program and help raise valuable funds
for your school! Now that's TrueBlue!
- My TrueBlue
Participants Dashboard
This new tool allows you
to view the name and email address of those individuals
who have signed up as a participant at your school.
These are the people who are contributing and making TBS
a reality at your school! It would be a great idea to
send them an email to thank them for supporting your
school or ask them to get others to sign up for the
program.
- Updated, "More
Room To Customize" TBS Program Flyer
The TBS customized
flyer has been updated with a new look and has
even more room for you to customize for your school's
needs.
We are here to help you be
successful. We would love to hear your thoughts about if
and how these tools are helping you! We'd also like to
hear suggestions of things we could be doing to help you
get more people signed up with GNG and TBS.
Please don't hesitate to contact Jennifer Lull
at jenniferlull@trueblueschools.com or at
678-457-7196, or Chad Miller at chadmiller@trueblueschools.com or at
678-672-1671 with any questions that you might have. We
always love hearing from
you!

TrueBlue Check Patrol Visits Top Earning Pope
High School
In January, the TBS Check Patrol
delivered its first big check to the number one
top-earning school, Pope High School in Marietta. Pope
High School has raised $8,540 since it started the
program in 2008. Now that's TrueBlue! These much-needed
dollars are going to fund various academic, fine art and
athletic initiatives, as well as a landscaping
improvement project.

L-R: Marna Friedman, Pope
High School TrueBlue Coordinator; Nick Tupper, Pope High
School Foundation President; Rick Beaulieu, Pope High
School Principal; Ron Witcher, Georgia Natural Gas
TrueBlue Schools Program Manager.
In the picture above, TrueBlue Schools Check
Patrol delivers Pope High School a big check for $8,540.
Some of Pope's success can be attributed to getting
their students involved with promoting the program, as
seen in this "Burning for Learning" poster, which was a
result of a logo competition among students in an
advanced graphic arts class. BOTTOM LINE... When
kids get involved & excited about a school program,
so do the parents!
POPE HIGHLIGHT:
Going the extra mile, Pope held a TrueBlue
Schools logo contest through its Advanced Graphic Arts
Class. The contest involved each student in the class
submitting a design they felt best represented both Pope
and TrueBlue Schools. In the end, three students were
selected as winners for creating the ultimate Pope/TBS
logo that is currently being used to market the program
throughout the school on posters, in emails and other
marketing materials.
Way to go Pope High School!
What a TrueBlue Inspiration! Your school can be a
top-earner too!
If your school
is doing something innovative to grow the TrueBlue
Schools Program, we want to hear from you! Please submit
your ideas, stories, and pictures to Jennifer Lull at

TrueBlue Healthy Eating
Tip
Baby, It's Cold
Outside! Warm Up With a Bowl of Turkey Chipotle Chili
Check out TrueBlue Schools'
February featured recipe: Turkey Chipotle
Chili at http://www.trueblueschools.com/cooking.asp.
This
quick and delicious recipe is thickened by corn meal.
The smoky flavor comes from chipotle, which is a dried
jalapeno pepper.
FUN FACT: The turkey
and beans make this easy family dish unique and good for
you. Turkey is a lean source of protein and niacin,
which is a vitamin that aids in releasing energy into
the body. Beans are a great source of the vitamin,
thiamin, which plays a vital role in normal nerve
function. It also aids in releasing energy like proteins
and carbohydrates to help our bodies grow.

TrueBlue
Support
TrueBlue Schools
Supports Department of Education's Schools of Excellence
Banquet
Georgia Natural Gas' TrueBlue Schools Program
is proud to partner with the Georgia Department of
Education this year in supporting the Schools of
Excellence Awards Banquet and the Teacher of the Year
Program. Held on February 5th at the Georgia
International Conference Center, we gathered with State
Superintendent Kathy Cox to celebrate 35 schools from
around the state that have achieved excellence in test
performance and overall student achievement.
Working with the Department of Education,
TrueBlue Schools understands the reality of shrinking
budgets and growing expectations for higher test scores
among students. Our mission, as a Partner in Education,
is to help Georgia schools get the job done by raising
much-needed dollars in an easy way.
In addition
to raising dollars, TrueBlue Schools is aslo supporting
Georgia education organizations, like the Georgia PTA
and Georgia Public Broadcasting, to help turn Georgia
childhood obesity rates around - Georgia currently ranks
3rd worst in the
country.

Kathy
Cox, State Superintendent of Schools, gives her remarks
about the 35 Georgia schools that have set themselves
apart as leaders in student achievement.
During the Schools of
Excellence Banquet, TrueBlue Schools had our family
eating expert, Jennifer Bushman, demonstrate some of our
quick, delicious - and healthy - TrueBlue Schools
recipes for the crowd, along with Superintendent Cox and
Georgia Teacher of the Year, Gwen Desselle. You too can
take a glimpse at the recipes cooked and enjoyed during
the reception by visiting http://www.trueblueschools.com/excellence.asp
We are your
partner. Let TrueBlue Schools help your school in its
quest for excellence.
As seen
in the picture below, Georgia State Superintendent Kathy
Cox joins family eating expert Jennifer Bushman during
the Schools of Excellence Banquet reception to cook up
one of our TrueBlue Schools recipes - Chicken
Saltimbocca. The TrueBlue Schools recipes were a
big hit among the principals and teachers at the
banquet.

L-R: Suchita Vadlamani, co-anchor of Fox
News Good Day Atlanta, emceed the reception; Kathy Cox,
Georgia State Superintendent, and Jennifer Bushman,
TrueBlue Schools family eating expert, on the TrueBlue
Schools cooking stage before the Schools of Excellence
Banquet.
